I've made myself a ridiculous list

Pin It ...that I'm not going to take the time to type out here.

Chubby Stars peeps -- nothing new this week because I need to catch up!  Based on the flickr pool, I'd say I'm not the only one. :)

And if you're ahead (Melissa), well, then I'm a little jealous.

-------------
Right now on my sewing table/machine is:

- a surprise (not for you all... just for someone I know, but in case they read this, I won't show pics)
- another surprise (this one's for you all).
- some other random stuff
- my chubby stars.

----------------
So this post isn't pictureless --

I finished a couple bee blocks.

A couple spiderwebs for Crystal: (these were a first)

Spiderwebs for Crystal

and an abacus block for Carrie (done with the tutorial-ish at Block Party's blog)

Bee Splendid block for Carrie

Oh, and this is what Steiger did when I gave him a time-out yesterday (I think it was for grabbing my glasses off my face... which he knows not to do).

getting a time out

He just stared at me grinning.

Really effective I see.

He's almost 18 months... let's just hope I get this discipline thing figured out before he's 18 years.

I almost forgot!

I've got a number of my Christmas Bee blocks back.

Fabulous, no?

Christmas blocks so far

(sorry I didn't iron)

_______________

One more thing!

I don't know what's coming exactly... but AccuQuilt has something in the works!

(That's also what I'm working on... trying to get my review finished up, so I can have a giveaway!)

Bless you for giving me another week to catch up. I've been and still am sick so I was nowhere close to being caught up!

Love the spiderwebs. Wish I could make some of those!

Love your Christmas blocks.

Can't wait to see your surprises.

And time outs...not fun. I've found that it's almost pointless until they are over the age of two and even then it doesn't start to work until they are over 2 1/2. My son has always been pretty easy to stop bad behavior with but my Little Miss. Ugh don't even get me started! Girls are tough is all I'll say about that.

Ooooh I can't wait to see what you have coming for MBS!

Cullen HATES time outs... They are like the end of the world to him, especially since I make him put his face in the corner. In fact, it has even done wonders lately to get him through his "whiny" and "screaming" phase lately. If he whines or fake cries, I just say "When we whine, we have to sit in the corner." and after that first time, now all I have to do is ask if he's whining and he stops immediately haha!

I'm guessing your list looks like mine - and if it does, it's frightening! Your blocks are pretty - and I had to laugh at Steiger! Lilli has to sit on the stair steps if she's in time out, and she hates it - thumps down onto the floor just so she's not "sitting" on the stairs! Stubborn child - I don't know where she gets that from!!! ;-)

Christmas blocks...fabulous, yes! And look at your perfect points in the spiderwebs. Fabulous once again. :)

Steiger is a HOOT! I must admit, timeouts have never worked for us. Although, now that I think about it, crib/bed timeouts came in handy now and then.

1. I'm grateful for the catch-up week for the quiltalong. I'm caught up on this, but I'm behind on lots of other things! I've been meaning to make a crafty to-do list, but I'm afraid.

2. Can't wait for your new MBS project!

3. Your bee blocks = awesome.

4. If you figure out the discipline secret, let me know! Luke finally understands actions and consequences, and that makes a big difference.

Those Christmas blocks are beautiful, can't wait to see the finished quilt. 18 months is time to put on your seat belt, you're in for a wild ride.

I haven't been able to work on my chubby stars as I also have a project "for all" that I started on. Hopefully some time this week I will get back to my wonderful chubby starts and get the border put on. I miss working with those little 1 inch squares.
