Yep, that's right. I'm now in the thick of not one, but two quilt alongs. :)First up --
This is going to be Jay's manly quilt... and fittingly, Jay stayed up late with my Sunday night to finish all forty-eight blocks. I finished at 11:57.
I tried to get up before S on Monday morning to lay them all out, and I did beat him, but not by enough time. So I finished the lay-out during his nap, and got half of them sewn together that evening.
I am proud to report that making the blocks without paper piecing still resulted in perfectly aligned points.

Next up -- Aneela's "Pickledish" quilt along.
(I have heard that this isn't technically a pickledish block, but a modified wedding ring -- I'm not an expert, but I thought you might be interested in that little tidbit)
These are my latest obsession. I would sew these all day (and night) if I could.

I got a finish this week! (show you Friday).
But I'm starting a new one (for my niece due to arrive sometime around March 1)

Pink lemondade - yes, that's exactly what that line is!! I love those Pickledish blocks, they look tricky. I love how they look, though :)

Ok, you are the first one i've seen to put the pink with the yellow and gray, and I ADORE it!!!! It will be so wonderful- can hardly wait to see what pattern you use ;) Thanks for all the amazing inspiration- p.s. I got the I Dance in Circles quilt done (using Fandango like you did) and am sooooo happy with it. Love the urban lattice and the pickledish. I have been thinking of doing the pickledish quilt-along, but have been scared of all that piecing. It turns out so fun.
The "pink lemonade" is cute. I am working with that line right now and I am crazy for the gray, green, and orange together. I love the manly quilt, btw.

Tracey, this is so funny - when you commented on my Urban Lattice the other day, you said you tried to "beat the boy up" so you could lay it out, and I totally read that the wrong way! Of course I knew you must have been joking, but still! Now that I've read your post I realize you meant you were trying to WAKE UP before him. Makes much more sense and I am far less concerned about Steiger now. : )
At any rate, your U.L. looks FABULOUS. I love the dimension the different background colors give it! And the pickle dish is amazing too.
