and she's all basted...

I would like to be proud of my (quilting) accomplishment for the weekend.

I turned on my sewing machine (first time in a month or so!)

Pieced a back.

And got my husband's Urban Lattice quilt all basted.
It was nice to be able to bend at the waist without wanting to puke.

all basted

I quilted half a line, stopped in the middle and decided I needed a nap.

But it was a start, and definitely progress. ;)

  1. If it make you feel any better...out of a ton of blogs that I read and of all the sewing that I see. I really love seeing this quilt!

    Take care now!

  2. Nice job! At least you got a little sewing done! I spent the entire weekend online trading fabric instead of sewing.

  6. All progress = forward progress! In my book, piecing a quilt back and basting are the least appealing tasks in the quilting process and take a LOT of motivation. Hoorah for getting back in the saddle! That urban lattice quilt is going to be downright excellent!

  9. If it makes you feel any better - I puked from week 5 to week 21 with #1 and with week 5 to week 38 with #2 - they 'say' lots of puking is sign of a healthy baby

  12. Looks like good progress to me! It's surprisingly difficult to sew while pregnant, at least it was for me. First it was the nausea, then later I was too uncomfortable to sit at my machine.

Just take it a little bit at a time. : ) And get those naps in while you can!
